Came across this interesting blog post on the fabulous Edutopia site.  If you have not yet had the chance to explore the wealth of information and resources available on this site, I strongly recommend you take the time to do so.

Getting parents more involved by familiarizing them with some of the social networking tools available, is a terrific idea.
